Artichoke is an outstanding printmaking facility for professional artists.

Our sessions provide the artist with opportunities to use some of the best fine art printmaking equipment in the areas of intaglio, lithography, relief printing and photographic printmaking media.

We actively support the sales of artists prints; and our commercial editioning, publishing services, and courses are a core part of the workshops setup.

Artists from the UK and countries such as Korea, China, Japan, Russia, New Zealand and the USA use the workshop. This LIVELY mix of artists creates a stimulating atmosphere with a constant exchange of ideas and working practices.

Artichoke Print Workshop was established by Melvyn Petterson and Colin Gale in 1992 and is based in a unique Victorian granary warehouse in a thriving area of Brixton, in the southeast of London, England.
